Pipeline steel welding wire

The welding wire serves as the filler metal or is also used as the conductive metal wire for welding materials. In gas welding and tungsten inert gas arc welding, the welding wire is used as the filler metal; in submerged arc welding, electroslag welding, and other fusion electrode gas shielded arc welding, the welding wire is both the filler metal and also the conductive electrode. The surface of the welding wire is not coated with anti-oxidation welding flux.

Some alloys, such as cobalt-chromium tungsten alloy, cannot be forged, rolled, or drawn into wire form; instead, they are made by casting. It is mainly used for manual hand welding on the surface of workpieces to meet special performance requirements such as oxidation resistance, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Continuous pouring and liquid extrusion can be used to manufacture cobalt-chromium tungsten welding wires up to several meters in length, which are used for automatic wire feeding tungsten inert gas arc welding to improve welding efficiency and weld layer quality, and also to improve working conditions. Cast iron repair welding sometimes also uses casting welding wires.
